Balls System

Grand Slam Legends Balls System: How Scoring Works in Fantasy Tennis

Welcome to the Balls System at Grand Slam Legends, where the action on the court directly impacts your fantasy score! The Balls System has been designed to bring a new level of excitement and strategy to fantasy tennis. Every player's performance in real-world tennis matches can earn or deduct points based on specific actions, making it more engaging than ever to compete and predict match results.

Here's how our scoring system works, and how you can earn points for your fantasy team:

Points Earned (Actions that Add Points)

  • Winning a Set
    • +10 points: Every time one of your players wins a set in a match, you earn 10 points. This is a big moment, and it rewards your prediction and strategic player selection.
  • Winning a Match
    • +20 points: The ultimate victory in tennis! When your player wins a match, you earn 20 points. Picking a match winner correctly is a key to maximizing your points.
  • Aces
    • +2 points per ace: A powerful serve can win you points! Each ace your player hits during the match adds 2 points to your total.
  • Break Points Won
    • +5 points per break point won: Breaking your opponent's serve is crucial in tennis. For every successful break point conversion by your player, you earn 5 points.
  • Games Won
    • +3 points per game won: Every game your player wins adds 3 points to your total. This reflects their consistency throughout the match.
  • Tiebreaker Victory
    • +8 points: If your player wins a tiebreaker, you get 8 points. Tiebreakers are often game-changers, so this is a key moment to score big.
  • Double Faults Forced
    • +3 points per double fault forced: When your player forces the opponent into a double fault, you earn 3 points. This reflects their ability to pressure the opponent and force mistakes.

Points Lost (Actions that Deduct Points)

  • Double Faults
    • -2 points per double fault: Double faults can be costly, and when your player commits one, you lose 2 points. Keep an eye on serving consistency to avoid these penalties.
  • Set Lost
    • -5 points: If your player loses a set, you lose 5 points. Losing momentum in a set can be detrimental to your fantasy score.
  • Game Lost
    • -2 points per game lost: Each game your player loses results in a 2-point deduction. Every lost game impacts your total score, so make sure you pick players who can hold serve!
  • Retirement/Withdrawal
    • -15 points: If your player retires from the match due to injury or other reasons, you will lose 15 points. It's a major setback, and we want to discourage these situations as much as possible.
  • Red Card (Unsportsmanlike Behavior)
    • -10 points: A red card for misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior leads to a significant penalty. When your player receives a red card, it costs you 10 points, making it an important factor to consider when making predictions.
